59th Annual Country Music Association (CMA) Awards

Hosted by Lainey Wilson, who took home major wins herself, the 2025 CMA Awards was certainly for the record books. 


Award presenters included Lady A, Alison Brown, Jessica Capshaw, Billy Ray Cyrus, Lauren Daigle, Jordan Davis, Elizabeth Hurley, Cody Johnson, Bert Kreischer, Brandon Lake, Ella Langley, Steve Martin, Leanne Morgan, NE-YO, Chris O’Donnell, Kimberly Perry, LeAnn Rimes, Alan Ritchson, Lara Spencer, Billy Bob Thornton, Grace Van Patten, Gretchen Wilson, and Bailey Zimmerman.


The event also featured performances by Keith Urban, Little Big Town, Kelsea Ballerini, BigXthaPlug, Brandi Carlile, Kenny Chesney, Luke Combs, Riley Green, Miranda Lambert, Ella Langley, Patty Loveless, Megan Moroney, Old Dominion, The Red Clay Strays, Shaboozey, Chris Stapleton, Zach Top, Tucker Wetmore , Lainey Wilson, and Stephen Wilson Jr.


Five artists were nominated for “Entertainer of the Year”, with Lainey Wilson beating out Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen. 


For the “Single of the Year” award, singers are nominated alongside their producers and mix engineers. The nominated songs were “4x4xU” by Lainey Wilson, “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma” by Luke Combs, “Am I Okay?” by Megan Moroney, “I Never Lie” by Zach Top, and “You Look Like You Love Me” by Ella Langley and Riley Green. 


Langley and Green won for their song, produced by Will Bundy and mixed by Jim Cooley. The song also won “Song of the Year” and “Music Video of the Year”.


The "Album of the Year award”, also featuring producers and mix engineers, had Megan Moroney (Am I Okay?), Zach Top (Cold Beer and Country Music), Post Malone (F-1 Trillion), Morgan Wallen (I’m The Problem), and Lainey Wilson (Whirlwind) competing. 

The host of the awards won for her album produced by Jay Joyce and mixed by Jason Hall.


Nominees for “Female Vocalist of the Year” included Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Ella Langley, Megan Moroney, and hostess Lainey Wilson.


Wilson won once again, her third out of the five categories thus far.


The nominees for “Male Vocalist of the Year” included Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton, Zach Top, and Morgan Wallen, with Johnson taking the win. 


“Vocal Group of the Year” featured Lady A, Little Big Town, Old Dominion, Rascal Flatts, and The Red Clay Strays as nominees, with the latter winning the award. 

Brooks & Dunn, Brothers Osborne, Dan + Shay, Maddie & Tae, and The War And Treaty were all nominated for “Vocal Duo of the Year”. Brooks and Dunn took home the win.

“Musician of the Year” featured Jenee Fleenor (Fiddle), Paul Franklin (Steel Guitar), Brent Mason (Guitar), Rob McNelley (Guitar), and Derek Wells (Guitar) as nominees. Franklin took home the award.


Post Malone won “Musical Event of the Year” for his song “Pour Me A Drink” featuring Blake Shelton. 


Finally, the nominees for “New Artist of the Year” were Ella Langley, Shaboozey, Zach Top, Tucker Wetmore, and Stephen Wilson Jr. The winner was Zach Top, marking his first-ever CMA Award.
